SBI FasTag is an electronic device that creates a prepaid or savings account for paying users directly, which is linked to State Bank of India. People must submit the following documents for FasTag:

  • Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
  • Passport size photo of the vehicle owner

Charges for SBI FasTag

  • FasTag has a one-time charge of 250 + service tax.

Note: This amount can be refunded depending on the type of security deposit vehicle.

How to recharge SBI FasTag account again?

There are two procedures for recharging a tag account and the following are:

Receiving Refunds through Net Banking

  1. Login to your Net Banking account using your username and password.
  2. Go to payment and click on recharge account.
  3. Select your tagging accounts to recharge and specify the relevant amount.
  4. Select your payment mode as ‘Pay online’ and click ‘Continue’.
  5. Now choose your bank from the list.
  6. Now proceed with the required details and complete the payment.

For recharge through NEFT / RTGS

  • Login with your username and password.
  • Go to payment and click on recharge account.
  • Select your tagging accounts to recharge and specify the relevant amount.
  • Select your payment mode as NEFT and click ‘Continue’.
  • Check the details and click ‘Make Payment’.
  • The currency of NEFT can now be generated by clicking on ‘Generate Currency’.
  • Please save / print the invoice.
  • Now transfer the exact amount mentioned above, to the ‘beneficiary account number’ specified on the currency by NEFT.
  • After the above process, your account will be recharged in 2 hours.
